opening sequence analysis

Catch Me If You Can

The opening credits is an animated sequence that follows a character being chased through different scenes and changing their appearance imitating parts of the film. The genre of the film is a light hearted adventure, this is portrayed through the music which is late 50's /60's style and also through the setting, colour and style.
The words of the credits create the scenarios for the main characters in the animation. The font is simple so that you take more notice of the action that is going on around them. As each separate name leaves they either dissolve or run away, to represent the films plot.
